This Privacy Policy describes how Shohood (“we”, “us” or “our”) processes personal information in connection with our application, website and related services. It applies to account holders, invited participants and website visitors.
Information We Collect
We collect account and contact details, assessment responses and results, invitation details, purchase records and information provided when contacting support. We also process limited device, connection and security information necessary to operate the service.
Information is provided directly by you, generated through your use of the service, or received from a user who invites you to participate. In that case, the inviting user supplies your telephone number and relationship category. Payment providers supply transaction information needed to verify and restore purchases. We do not receive or store payment card details.
How We Use Information
We use personal information to establish and verify accounts, provide assessments and related results, manage invitations and voluntary participation, administer purchases, respond to requests, protect the service and meet legal obligations. Required information is necessary to provide the relevant feature; participation in an invitation is optional.
When a gift campaign is available, we may send one welcome message using the saved account name, with its code and instructions, to the verified WhatsApp number of an existing or new eligible account. Account and redemption records help prevent repeated delivery and repeated gifts. You can stop these messages by sending “إيقاف”. This does not opt you into push or credit notifications or the participation board. Apple verifies offer redemption. We retain a limited redemption record, including Apple transaction identifiers and a keyed hash of the telephone number, to prevent repeated use after account deletion; that anti-abuse record does not retain the name or telephone number in plain text. Unused gift credits are removed on account deletion.

Optional Gift and Offer Notifications
If you enable these notifications in a compatible Shohood app, we collect an app installation identifier and an Apple-issued push delivery token for this app on your device. We link them to your account, together with consent and registration status and limited delivery-processing records. We use this information for Shohood’s own gift and offer notifications, to apply your choices and prevent duplicate alerts. Apple Push Notification service receives the delivery token and notification content. We do not put assessment results or witness names in notifications, or use these identifiers for tracking across other companies’ apps or websites.
This choice is separate from WhatsApp messages and is not required to use Shohood or redeem a coupon. You may turn it off in the profile’s gift and offer notification setting or your device settings. When our server receives a revocation request, or detects an invalid delivery token, we remove the token and its hash. Limited installation, revocation and campaign-processing records remain linked to the account until account deletion to prevent stale registrations and duplicate alerts. Account deletion removes device and delivery records from the operational database; backup copies follow the general backup-retention cycle described in this Policy. Limited installation and preference values remain on your device; signing out disables consent for that account.
تنبيهات الهدية والعروض الاختيارية: إذا اخترت تفعيلها في نسخة شهود المتوافقة، نجمع معرّف تثبيت التطبيق ورمز إرسال تصدره Apple لهذا التطبيق على جهازك، ونربطهما بحسابك مع حالة الموافقة والتسجيل وسجلات محدودة لمعالجة الإرسال. نستخدمها لتنبيهات شهود عن هداياه وعروضه وتطبيق اختياراتك ومنع التكرار. نرسل إلى خدمة Apple Push Notification service رمز الإرسال ومحتوى التنبيه؛ لا نضع نتائج التقييم أو أسماء الشهود في التنبيه، ولا نستخدم هذه المعرفات للتتبع عبر تطبيقات أو مواقع جهات أخرى.
هذا الاختيار منفصل عن رسائل واتساب وليس شرطًا لاستخدام شهود أو الاستفادة من الكوبون. يمكنك إيقافه من «تنبيهات الهدية والعروض» في الملف الشخصي أو من إعدادات جهازك. عند استلام الخادم طلب الإلغاء، أو عند اكتشاف أن رمز الإرسال لم يعد صالحًا، نحذف رمز الإرسال وبصمته. نحتفظ بسجل محدود للتثبيت والإلغاء ومعالجة الحملة مرتبط بالحساب حتى حذف الحساب، لمنع إعادة التسجيل المتأخر وتكرار التنبيه. حذف الحساب يزيل سجلات الأجهزة والإرسال من قاعدة البيانات التشغيلية؛ وتخضع النسخ الاحتياطية لدورة الاحتفاظ العامة في هذه السياسة. تبقى قيم محدودة للتثبيت والتفضيل على جهازك؛ تسجيل الخروج يعطّل موافقة ذلك الحساب.
Depending on the purpose, processing is based on performance of our agreement with you, your consent, applicable legal obligations, or legitimate interests permitted by law. Assessment results are generated from submitted responses for personal reflection and are not used by us to make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
Information Handling
We do not sell or rent personal information. Information may be disclosed as necessary to providers supporting hosting, communications and payment services, or to competent authorities where legally required. Participant responses are presented to the account holder in aggregate, without displaying an individual participant’s answers.
Our service data is hosted with netcup outside Saudi Arabia. Hosting, communications and payment services may involve processing outside Saudi Arabia, subject to applicable data protection and transfer requirements.
Retention and Security
We retain account and assessment information while the account remains active. Invitation and participation information is retained while needed to provide the service, subject to applicable deletion requests. Limited transaction, support and security records may be retained to complete their purpose, meet legal obligations or resolve disputes. Retention periods depend on the information concerned and those requirements. Information is then deleted or de-identified; backup copies expire through the regular backup cycle.
We maintain technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information, including access controls and secure transmission.
Your Rights and Choices
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to or a copy of your personal information, correction or deletion, and withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing already lawfully carried out.
The in-app participation board is optional. If you choose to appear on it, the display name you choose and the number of participants who have completed an invitation for you are shown to other account holders; no other information about you is listed. You may withdraw at any time from within the application, which removes your entry.
لوحة المشاركة الاختيارية: لا تظهر في اللوحة إلا إذا وافقت من داخل التطبيق. يظهر اسم العرض الذي تختاره وعدد الشهود المكتملين لحسابك للمستخدمين الآخرين. لا تعرض اللوحة أرقام الهواتف أو إجابات الشهود. يمكنك الانسحاب في أي وقت من إعداد المشاركة داخل التطبيق؛ عندها تُزال مشاركتك من اللوحة. الدعوة بالمقابل اختيارية ولا تُرسل دون موافقتك.
Numerical participant results are released in batches requiring at least five new contributors, rather than updated after every response. Deleting a participant's response removes its derived release; a new release waits for at least five fresh contributions. Existing results may temporarily be withheld when this policy is introduced. Completion counts can change before the numerical result changes. Aggregation reduces disclosure risk but cannot guarantee anonymity against collusion or information known outside the service.
حماية النتائج المجمعة: تتحدث الأرقام على دفعات تضم خمسة مساهمين جدد على الأقل. قد يزداد عدد المكتملين قبل تحديث المقارنة. بعد حذف إجابة أو تطبيق هذه الحماية على نتائج سابقة قد تُحجب المقارنة مؤقتًا حتى تكتمل دفعة جديدة. التجميع يقلل مخاطر كشف الإجابات، لكنه لا يضمن سرية مطلقة أمام تواطؤ المشاركين أو المعلومات المعروفة خارج شهود.
You may delete your account through the account settings in the application or contact us for assistance. Invited participants may decline participation and request that further contact cease or that their information be deleted. Certain records may remain where retention is legally required or necessary for transaction verification and purchase restoration.
To exercise your rights, contact info@shohoodapp.com. We may verify your identity before acting on a request. We respond within the period required by applicable law, ordinarily within 30 days of receipt, with notice of any lawful extension. You may also lodge a complaint with the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA).
Children
The service is not intended for children under 13. Users who are minors under applicable law must have the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
Updates and Contact
We may update this Policy to reflect changes to the service or applicable requirements. The revised Policy will be posted with its effective date, and material changes will be notified where required.
